One of the hard-disk (the one with Windows) gave out. The other one is full. But I need a new personal computer anyway. I am now working on the laptop with the other hard-disk as an external disk, so I can still reach the cartoon documents, but I am a bit busy with transferring files from the dead hard-disk (as far as still possible) and with burning stuff to DVD's (since my laptop is also full, and everything gets really S-L-O-W this way) and with trying to find information that will help me choose a new PC.
So posting cartoons is not in my top three of priorities at the moment.. :-((((
If there is anyone out there that has some knowledge about this stuff, feel free to comment. I could use the help.
I can't decide between a brand computer (that will have Windows pre-installed) or a shop computer (which is a system that was combined and build by the shop I usually go to (Computerland/Paradigit). That will not have Windows, but that means I will get an actual disk if I buy it extra, which is better than pre-installed.)
The shop computers are way more expensive though because they have Intel processors(i3, i5 or i7). The Brand pc I am looking at (Compaq Presario CQ5330NL) has an Athlon quad core (X4 630), which should be just as fast according to Tweakers, but is way cheaper. It does have a lower grade Video-card though, and I cannot find anywhere which motherboard any of the PC's I am looking at have.
Does anyone have any advice? I try to read stuff on Tweakers.net, but I have some trouble navigating around that site to find what I need..

Ik heb niet echt verstand van computers(integendeel, het lijkt wel of ze altijd uitvallen als ik in de buurt ben xP) maar ik had onlangs ook het probleem van een te volle schijf (nog niet helemaal vol, maar bijna) en een computer die zo traag ging dat een programma iets van een half uur nodig had om op te starten. Ik heb geformateerd en programma's die ik niet gebruik eraf gesmeten en het gaat nu al beter. Veel succes in ieder geval met het vinden van een goede computer :)
ReplyDeleteDankjewel Jolien, en dat trucje ken ik, maar nu heb ik dus een kapotte schijf en die ander (en de laptop) zit zo vol dat ik eerst back-ups moet branden voor er wat af kan. Maar die kapotte heeft een heleboel bad sectors dus die is echt wel stuk. En aangezien het toch tijd wordt voor een nieuwe... maar bedankt voor je reactie :-)
ReplyDeleteIk zou geen Windows Vista nemen in ieder geval. Dat is de eerste versie van Windows die ik echt haat. Ik heb van horen zeggen dat Windows 7 beter zou moeten zijn, maar daar heb ik geen ervaring mee.
ReplyDeleteAls ik een nieuwe PC koop dan koop ik W7 er wel bij denk ik, al zit ik nu op een geleende harddisk in Ubuntu te werken. Is ook wel een leuk platform :-)
